Warrensburg Emergency Medical Services, Inc (WEMS) is a NIMS compliant volunteer agency contracted by the town of Warrensburg and Thurman to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. WEMS responds to 100% of their first calls in less than 4 minutes. We are well regarded in the county for competent and timely ALS care, and efficient operations. WEMS additionally routinely responds to provide mutual aid and/or ALS care to five neighboring agencies in Warren County.
WEMS operates from their own building in town, which houses their two ambulances; response is enhanced by additional fly cars. WEMS contracts with a 3rd party to provide additional needed staffing, beyond the hours contributed by volunteers.
